Appointments

The surgery does not have a walk-in facility. An appointment is required for all consultations. Please telephone the surgery. Patients will be seen on the same day for urgent conditions. Medical emergencies will take priority over existing appointments and at the doctor’s discretion will be seen immediately.

We need your help to make the appointment system work for you. It is important that you contact the surgery should you wish to cancel an appointment as appointments are in great demand. We ask that you only request an emergency appointment if you feel your condition will not wait for a routine appointment.

Your own doctor will usually see patients within five working days for non-urgent conditions. If your own doctor is away from the surgery for any reason you will be offered an appointment with another doctor.

Extended Hours

Extended access appointments are on top of any extended hours that are already being offered by a patient's own GP practice.

Evening and weekend appointments are available for people living in Slough with GPs, practice nurses and healthcare assistants and other healthcare professionals for routine pre-booked services.

These appointments are scheduled at times that are more convenient to patients, e.g. if you:

• find it difficult to attend an appointment during the working day;
• are a busy parent with small children;
• or rely on working carers to take you to appointments;

About the service

Extended access appointments are provided by Bharani Medical Centre but from their practice in Lansdowne Avenue, Slough, SL1 3SJ.

Clinics will operate on Monday to Friday from 6.30pm-8.00pm and between 9am -2pm on Saturday and Sunday, and will see registered patients from all GP practices in Slough.

To book an appointment you must contact your own GP practice during normal opening hours.

Extended access appointments are for routine medical issues and not for urgent or emergency care.  If urgent care is required please call NHS111 for advice.

Should you need to cancel your appointment please contact your GP practice during their normal working hours. For cancellations during clinic opening times only, please call 01753 218388.

Booking Appointments Online

We are now able to offer booking routine appointments online. In order for you to do this you will firstly need to contact reception at the surgery, who can enrol you onto the system. This will then generate you a personal pin code and reference number which you will need to access the system to book appointments online.

Once you have this information you can enrol by clicking on the link at the top of this page.

Telephone Consultations

If we are unable to offer you an appointment we will always offer you a telephone consultation with the doctor on call. The doctor will call you back before the end of surgery, and if deemed necessary he/she will ask you to come along to the surgery.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
